The idea of co-working on music-related activities isn’t yet clear enough to start a TuneCamp, I have a lot of participants on my list here who are thrilled by the idea, but waiting for some action. The thing is, there’s no action to wait for, I already have hosted a meet up to start a team, to work on TuneCamp, and to spread the word. But everybody thinks it’s a party or some kinda gig, you know… For them to buy tickets and get in, that’s it! But no, it’s not how it goes!

What makes an event a success is the attendees who respond positively and get all together under one roof. This is exactly the same concept TuneCamp wants to hold. The word “Camp” is supposed to say it all, right? This event is not only to have fun and do something new instead of doing a theater or some dinner. It’s also targeted to make people more aware of the variants of music, actually… The majority here lacks musical culture, and to make that more clear… There’s no choice when it comes to music, and you can tell by the concerts playing here!

TuneCamp can go beyond an awesome atmosphere and new faces to meet, actually one of its goals is to enhance your taste and get you know more. Okay, it’s only music… Not exactly! It’s music what changes and influences what you do, even the way you think, and by making that social, you’re confident that you’re socializing with a fine class of cultured tuners who not only work on music, but since they’re socializing already, it’s a good way to for you to make new friends, and start a circle of special contacts! And I mean really special!

It seems that people here in Egypt need more care, and a more smarter strategy to seduce them. Anyway, I’m still after that and next Monday I’m going to promote TuneCamp widely in the GUC. I don’t know how things will go there, but I just can’t let TuneCamp go off… Not now at least.

I wasn’t willing to post anything about the meet-up till its results appear. What I really want is some interested bloggers who will help spreading the word, that, of course applies to photo and video blogs as well. The more blog entries and tags about TuneCamp, the more name and popularity TuneCamp gains. It’s not fundamental, but preferred.

I’m willing to discuss the key sweetnesses of TuneCamp, and will also lay on an open note for everyone to contribute with ideas and any sort of help. The collaborative work is what I’m after, and since I’m not expecting any enthusiasm, yet you never know what could happen.

Of course, the fun is just a beginning and all throughout the event till its end. There’s a plenty of time to live in peace, checking your inbox, instant messaging some of your friends telling them how great TuneCamp is, seducing them to come over, and guess what… Some tuner is proposing a trade! You both get down with each others’ libraries and here comes the real fun.

Alright, that sounded good, but what’s next? One of the advantages in TuneCamp is getting the most out of your library, a presentation starts off, and someone out there is talking about your favorite media player, revealing more benefits for you to take over, telling you more about the others, explaining what ID3 is, telling you more about encoding technologies, and you might need that when you run out of hard drive space.

You never know what might happen next, one second you were just listening and enjoying new artists you knew from some other tuner, and instantly another party starts off, you might want to add one of your favorite tracks to the open queue list, and share the good times. But it goes deeper than just sharing out knowledge and music in general. A new local artist is spreading demos of his works, maybe full-length tracks for you to judge and vote for.

Blogger are you? Even that is shared among tuners, you set down with some other tuners, having your coffee or a little snack, sharing out your knowledge and get some in return, write them down in a post and of course, while you get your blog famous, you also get to know others’ perspectives and ideas. This can be an album review for example, you can even go off-TuneCamp for a while because you finally have met a developer who can help you out with something in your blog.

Another presentation has begun demonstrating an audio editing environment, and not like adding loops and messing around with the timeline, it’s a live audition of a local artist, recording a track right in front of you. You like it? Yeah, sure… You can get your hands on them instantly right after the audition. It’s pretty normal for anyone to ask you to blog about the new artist and help spreading the word. We all work together and help is just a part of what we do. Actually, it’s all about that.

All of that is just a little tiny part of TuneCamp. It’s very random and welcoming that even YOU can start an activity yourself, letting everyone in, and enjoy being a part of a community that dedicated itself to music, and not like anything else. All live and in person.

I would like to make it even more clearer for you to get the picture. You see, fruits are a fundamental resource for Hippies! When you mentioned the word Hippie, music is one of their few activities they practice and believe in. And besides that all berry variants are tasty and look awesome, it also provides energy and a superior appetite I guess to encourage you eat more, and do more.

The Berry Treat is also a catalyst of social connections and interactivities, which is undoubtly the core meaning of TuneCamp. Finally, I want to mention the Berry Companions, which are Apple and Lemon pies, of course, each is on its own, don’t let the “and” provide a bit of confusion. Along that, and how it’s supposed to be, the traditional buffet offerings, such as salads and lite sandwiches. All along the non-stop music playing in the background and fine tuners to tune with.

There are still plenty of things to look after, including that one about Prints, T-Shirts and Stickers. And probably a logo update since I made this really fast. Soon I should be posting T-Shirt and flyer samples.
